I am a second-generation Asian American and native New Yorker. I’ve been drawn to the helping professions from an early age and spent most of my education following the pre-medical track. Through the help of therapy, I made the difficult decision to not continue on with medical school, and instead, I became curious about a career in the mental health field. I am grateful to have taken two gaps years to do some personal exploration before continuing with graduate school. I went on to earn my Master’s degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University.

As a psychotherapist, I have worked in diverse clinical settings, including a crisis contact center, a community agency, a group practice, and several public and charter schools. I am committed to ongoing professional development and actively engage in workshops, trainings, conferences, supervision, and consultation. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and have completed Level 1 training in Internal Family Systems (IFS).
